Cole Canyon Elementary serves students in Kindergarten through Grade Five. Our API test scores consistently place us as the top scoring school in all of Riverside County. With our outstanding staff and your support, we expect to continue to show outstanding student growth and achievement. In addition to academics, we provide several opportunities for children to learn performance arts through our Choral Club, our Fine Arts Club, and our fifth grade band program. Our Parent Teacher Club represents our many parent volunteers (up to 50 per day). Parents are an integral part of Cole Canyon. The PTC provides various programs for students including Red Ribbon Week, the Young Writers' Conference, Book Character Day, and programs from the Orange County Music Center.

Cole Canyon Elementary School is a partnership providing all students academic success in a safe, secure atmosphere of mutual respect and trust. Staff, parents, and students work together to build citizenship and self-worth through academic skills, respect, responsibility, honesty, integrity, and self-discipline. Our goal is to develop each student’s skills to meet life’s challenges with success. We invite parents and community members to join us as we continue to set high expectations for our students that will help them be successful. Educating our youth must be a partnership. Together we can prepare today’s students to succeed in tomorrow’s world.
Description of Campus:
Cole Canyon Elementary School opened in August of 2000 as the seventh elementary school in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. The school has 47 classrooms, a multipurpose room with a kitchen, computer lab, library, an outdoor eating area, amphitheater, administrative offices, a health office, teacher workrooms, and two play areas, one for kindergarten students and one designated for students in grades 1-5. Child care facilities for students in grades K-5 are located on campus in a separate room. Year School Opened - 2000
Instructional Goals/Program:
Striving towards excellence is an on-going process at Cole Canyon Elementary School. To this end, we use the California State Standards, standardsbased curriculum and student assessment data to provide a strong base for our instructional program.,
